If you’ve been looking for new music, look no further than Nymphnoise’s fresh demo “Give It A Bone”, right here on Velvet Noise Music.
Now, I’m talking new new— like 30 monthly listeners on Spotify, 13 likes on Soundcloud new. “Give It A Bone” is reminiscent of early 2000’s pop punk, like Avril Lavigne with twists of Evanescence and a pinch of Paramore, and even though this is the only song on Nymphnoise’s platforms, there is an unmistakably personal sound to this song as well. The dark melody is at once catchy and fleeting, its ephemerality demonstrated in the abruptness of the song’s ending and in the ebb and flow of its intensity throughout the song. The lyrics and vocals add to this intense effect— they’re pretty and full of rage.
This raw contemporary single by the epically named Nymphnoise, a.k.a. the equally cool-sounding Wiz, is the first taste of the kind of music this artist has given the listeners. If a demo sounds this awesome, I can’t imagine how good a final release will sound!
